€1 Million Daily Million Ticket Sold at Cork's Kent Station – Are You the Winner?

If you passed through Kent Train Station in Cork over the weekend and fancied a cheeky Quick Pick before your journey, you might want to sit down for this: someone walked away with a €1 Million ticket and, as of now, doesn't even know it yet.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning Daily Million ticket from Sunday's 2pm draw was sold at Tom Stanley's store, right in the heart of Kent Station in Cork City. The lucky player picked up a Quick Pick on the day of the draw, Sunday 26th July, and unknowingly became Ireland's newest Daily Million millionaire. Somewhere out there, a life-changing ticket is sitting in a coat pocket, a handbag, or maybe forgotten at the bottom of a suitcase.

It's been quite the weekend for National Lottery players nationwide. Just the night before, a player in Co. Offaly landed Saturday's Lotto Jackpot worth a staggering €8,221,849. Store manager Musharaf Hussain said the news came as a lovely surprise, given just how many people move through the station every single day. "It really could be anyone," he said, pointing out that the shop sees commuters, holidaymakers, and visitors to Cork passing through constantly. He also thanked the National Lottery's sales representative for their ongoing support and wished the still-unidentified winner well as they come to terms with their new fortune.

National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan echoed that sense of anticipation, urging anyone who bought a ticket at Tom Stanley's over the weekend to take a second look at it. Her advice was simple: check those pockets, wallets, handbags, and anywhere else a ticket might be hiding, because this could be a rather expensive thing to accidentally leave in the wash.

Whoever holds the winning ticket is asked to contact the National Lottery's Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or by emailing claims@lottery.ie, after which arrangements will be made to collect the prize at Lottery Headquarters.
